As a result of the breach, the following information of affected parties was leaked and accessible to the unauthorized party: full name, Social Security numbers, financial account information and security code, payment card information, driver’s license number, health insurance information, passport number, digital signatures, and medical information. On May 6, 2022, Cornish College of the Arts sent out data breach letters to those affected by the breach. That same day, the school also posted notice on its website informing consumers of the incident.

On April 4, 2022, Cornish confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access and potentially remove sensitive files from the Cornish network between the dates of June 6, 2021 and June 10, 2021.

Upon learning of the unauthorized access, Cornish then sought to identify whether any parties’ sensitive information was contained in the affected files. Subsequently, the school completed its review of the compromised files. While the breached information varies based on the individual, it may include your full name, Social Security number, financial account information and security code, payment card information, driver’s license number, health insurance information, passport number, digital signatures, and medical information.

On May 6, 2022, Cornish issued data breach letters to those whose information was compromised in the breach.
