What We Know About the Frock Bros. Trucking Company Data Breach

News of the Frock Bros. data breach is still recent; however, the company provided a few details in a recent data breach letter. Evidently, on or around December 6, 2021, Frock Bros. was the target of a cybersecurity incident that prevented the company from accessing its computer network. While the company doesn’t mention that the incident was a ransomware attack, based on the information provided that appears to be likely.

Once Frock Bros. learned of the cyberattack, it secured all of its computer systems and launched an investigation into the incident. As a result of this investigation, Frock Bros. Trucking confirmed that between November 29, 2021 and December 5, 2021, an unauthorized party was able to access—and potentially remove—certain documents from the company’s network.

After making this discovery, Frock Bros. then sought to identify all parties whose information was contained in the affected files. On March 10, 2022, the company completed its review of the compromised files, noting that the names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers of certain individuals were among the information accessible to the unauthorized party.

On April 19, 2022, Frock Bros. Trucking, Inc. issued data breach letters to anyone whose information was compromised in the breach.
