Dear [Redacted],

We are writing to notify you that Ancora recently experienced a security incident that may have involved some of your personal information. This letter explains the incident, measures we have taken and some steps you can take in response.

What Happened?

On June 17, 2022, we identified suspicious activity in one of our employees’ email accounts. We immediately took steps to secure the account and began an investigation. The investigation determined that one employee email account was accessed by an unauthorized person between May 16, 2022 and June 17, 2022.

What Information Was Involved?

The investigation was unable to determine whether the unauthorized person actually viewed any emails or attachments in the account. We reviewed emails and attachments from the account to determine what information was potentially accessible to the unauthorized person. Our review concluded on August 23, 2022, and we determined that an email or attachment contained your name and Social Security number 0. While we have no evidence that your personal information has been accessed or misused, our investigation has not been able to rule out that possibility. Nevertheless, we wanted to let you know this event occurred and assure you we are taking it very seriously.

What We Are Doing.

While we have no indication that your information was or has been misused, in an abundance of caution, we are offering you one year of identity theft protection services through Experian IdentityWorksSM Credit 3B. This product helps detect possible misuse of your personal information and provides you with identity protection services focused on immediate identification and resolution of identity theft. IdentityWorks is completely free to you and enrolling in this program will not hurt your credit score. More information about these identity theft protection services and how to enroll is enclosed. To help prevent a similar incident in the future, we have implemented additional security measures and controls to our email environment.

What You Can Do.

We encourage you to remain vigilant by reviewing your account statements and credit reports for any unauthorized activity over the next 12 to 24 months. If you see charges or activity you did not authorize, please contact the appropriate financial institution immediately. For more information, as well as additional steps you can take in response to this incident, please see the pages that follow this letter.
