July 29, 2022 – Central Maine Medical Center (“CMMC”) reported a data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights on July 21, 2022. However, Central Maine Medical Center has not yet publicly released the data types that were compromised due to the incident. However, in CMMC’s official filing, the company notes the breach impacted 11,938 individuals. Subsequently, CMMC began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals impacted by the recent data security incident.
