May 30 – The Managed Care of North America, Inc. (“MCNA Insurance Company,” “MCNA”) data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates P.C. The company reported a data breach after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. As a result of the MCNA data breach, the full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, telephone numbers, addresses, driver’s license numbers, health insurance information and protected health information of certain individuals were compromised. The Managed Care of North America data breach is believed to have impacted as many as 8.9 million individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Managed Care of North America reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack which occurred between February 26, 2023 and March 7, 2023. An unauthorized party was able to access and remove certain data on the company’s network . On May 26, 2023, MCNA sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
