June 6 – The Mission Community Hospital (“MCH”) data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach affected names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, medical record numbers, health insurance information, and diagnosis information.
According to a notice posted on their website, Mission Community Hospital reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 1, 2023, MCH was made aware of the possibility that an unauthorized party had obtained access to their computer network. The company launched an investigation and confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access its IT network and accessed certain files containing confidential patient information. On November 21, 2023, Mission Community Hospital sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach once their investigation is complete and a number has been determined.
