June 15 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Urban Strategies data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Urban Strategies data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • names,
  • dates of birth,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • driver’s license numbers,
  • state ID numbers,
  • passport numbers,
  • financial account numbers,
  • health insurance information,
  • and medical information

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Texas, the Urban Strategies data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 13, 2024, the company learned that it was the victim of a cyberattack prompting Urban Strategies to secure its systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized third party gained access to the Urban Strategies network between February 22, 2024 and March 13, 2024, during which they encrypted certain files. On June 13, 2024, Urban Strategies sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
