July 14 – The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. On March 9, 2023, ACEN received an anonymous email from someone who claimed to have gained access to the organization’s IT network. In response, the company launched an investigation where it was determined that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to its managed file transfer server between February 6, 2023 and February 27, 2023, which contained consumers’ personal information. On July 12, 2023, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
