October 3 – The Arietis Health, LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Arietis Health data breach resulted in the names, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, state identification card numbers, addresses, Social Security numbers and protected health information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on the company’s website and the Attorney General of Texas, Arietis Health reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Arietis Health provides healthcare billing services to NorthStar Anesthesia, which owns various pain management and anesthesia practices. Arietis Health uses the MOVEit file-transfer program. On May 31, 2023, Arietis Health was informed by Progress Software of a vulnerability within MOVEit. The company secured and patched its MOVEit server. On July 26, 2023, Arietis Health confirmed that unauthorized actors were able to access its MOVEit server on May 31, 2023, at which point the hackers may have acquired certain files containing confidential information belonging to patients at NorthStar Anesthesia. On October 2, 2023, Arietis Health sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
