July 4 – The City National Bank of Florida data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at Progress Software LLC. The City National Bank of Florida data breach resulted in the first and last names, dates of birth, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, email addresses and mailing addresses of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 36,306 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, City National Bank of Florida reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at Progress Software. On May 31, 2023, Progress Software announced a zero-day vulnerability affecting their MOVEit software. The vulnerability allowed hackers to view and remove data that was transferred using the software. City National Bank of Florida launched an investigation and were able to confirm the breach. It is important to note that the data breach did not affect City National’s computer systems. On June 30, 2023, City National Bank of Florida sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
