Adams Bank & Trust Data Breach 2023

November 18 – The Adams Bank & Trust (“ABT”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Adams Bank & Trust data breach resulted in the names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, financial account information, payment card information, and government-issued identification of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 23,891 individuals.

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, Adams Bank & Trust reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 16, 2023, ABT detected unusual activity within its computer system. The company secured its network and launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party had gained access to portions of the bank’s computer system on May 15, 2023 and May 16, 2023. On November 15, 2023, Adams Bank & Trust sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
