November 25 – The Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (“BBBSA”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 35,072 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 28, 2023, BBBSA experienced a network security incident affecting the company’s IT network. The organization secured its systems and then launched an investigation confirming that an unauthorized party was able to access—and possibly obtain—certain documents containing confidential consumer information. On November 21, 2023, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
