November 16 – The Medical Eye Services, Inc. (“MESVision”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Medical Eye Services data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 346,828 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Medical Eye Services reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. MESVision uses the MOVEit file-transfer program which was created by Progress Software. On August 23, 2023, MESVision learned that an unauthorized party was able to exploit a critical vulnerability within MOVEit, which granted them access to MESVision’s MOVEit server. The company took its MOVEit server offline and launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed and removed certain files containing confidential consumer information between May 28, 2023 and May 31, 2023. On November 14, 2023, Medical Eye Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was 
affected by the breach.
