The Prestige Care data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, medical information, and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website, Prestige Care reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 7, 2023, Prestige Care detected suspicious activity within its computer network. The company launched an investigation into the incident and confirmed that the Prestige Care network had been infected with malware, preventing access to certain files on the system. The Prestige Care investigation also confirmed that the unauthorized party may have had access to certain files containing personal and health information on September 7, 2023. On November 6, 2023, 
Prestige Care sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
