November 17 – The Recology Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is unclear at this time if any sensitive information was compromised and how many individuals were affected.
According to a news article, Recology reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On Monday, November 13, 2023, a spokesperson for Recology explained that the company had “experienced a cybersecurity incident that has caused some systems and applications to be temporarily unavailable.” The spokesperson explained that the company is working to bring all systems back online while it investigates the incident. Three separate employees of the company also told one journalist that the company had been “hacked” a week earlier, which impacted the company’s operations throughout the West Coast. Recology is still conducting its investigation however, if they are able to confirm sensitive information was compromised the company will be 
required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
