November 2 – The SK USA, Inc. (“Smoothie King”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Smoothie King data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial information, medical information and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Texas, Smoothie King reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Unfortunately, Smoothie King does not appear to have posted a website notice explaining the incident, so information is still limited. The incident involved an unauthorized party gaining access to information that consumers and/or employees had provided to the company. It is unclear if hackers were able to access the information from Smoothie King’s own computer network or whether the incident stemmed from a cyberattack against one of 
the company’s vendors. On October 31, 2023, Smoothie King sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
