October 16 – The Newtron Group, LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Newtron Group data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, state or military ID numbers, financial account information, dates of birth, medical information and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 39,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, The Newtron Group reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Newtron Group recently learned that an unauthorized party had gained access to portions of its computer system. The company isolated the affected portions of its network and launched an internal investigation. The investigation confirmed that an unknown and unauthorized party was able to access the company’s computer network between August 2, 2023 and August 3, 2023. On October 13, 2023, The Newtron Group sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
