October 30 – The Western Washington Medical Group data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Western Washington Medical Group data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 350,863 individuals.
According to the an article posted by Cyber News and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, Western Washington Medical Group reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Information about the breach is still limited but it consisted of a “hacking / IT incident” that targeted a network server. It is not clear if hackers were able to access the compromised data through WWMG’s IT systems or if they orchestrated a cyberattack against one of the company’s vendors. After learning that sensitive consumer data was accessible to an unauthorized party, 
Western Washington Medical Group reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On October 26, 2023, Western Washington Medical Group sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
