The data breach was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The Generations Federal Credit Union data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, addresses, government-issued identification numbers, financial account information, medical information and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 18,012 individuals.

What Happened As A Result Of The Generations Federal Credit Union Data Breach?

According to the Attorney General of Texas, Generations Federal Credit Union reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Information is still limited but an unauthorized party was able to gain access to confidential data on the company’s network. On June 12, 2023, Generations Federal Credit Union sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
