June 14 – The Leidos and Diligent Corporation data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after Leidos was affected by a third party cybersecurity attack at Diligent Corporation. The data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised. It is unclear at this time the number of individuals who have been affected.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, Leidos was affected by a third party data breach after Diligent was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 11, 2022, Diligent notified Ledios of a vulnerability in the company’s software where an unauthorized party was able to gain access to confidential information. The unauthorized access is believed to have started as early as September 30, 2022.
Unfortunately, a second vulnerability occurred and Diligent notified Leidos on February 9, 2023. For a second time, an unauthorized party was able to gain access to Diligent’s system and access confidential information. It is believed this second breach occurred around October 1, 2022. On June 9, 2023, Leidos sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach. However, at this time, neither Leidos or Diligent have confirmed what data types were affected as a result of the data breach.
