July 20 – The MSX International Inc. (“MSXI”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The MSX International data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 13,133 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, MSX International reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On February 6, 2023, MSXI detected suspicious activity within its IT network. The company launched an investigation and determined that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to MSXI systems between February 2, 2023, and February 6, 2023. The company later determined that some of the files that were accessible to the unauthorized party contained confidential consumer information. On July 20, 2023, MSX International sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
