It is believed to have impacted as many as 105,000 individuals. The NewGen Administrative Services data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • dates of birth,
  • driver’s license numbers,
  • state identification numbers,
  • claims information,
  • and financial information

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of California, the NewGen Administrative Services data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 14, 2023, the company experienced a possible data security incident. NewGen launched an investigation and confirmed that confidential information in its care was subject to unauthorized access on September 13, 2023. On February 23, 2024, NewGen Administrative Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
