Data Breach AlertJune 23 – The Oregon Department of Transportation (“ODOT”) data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach was reported after the company was affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at Progress Software, LLC. The Oregon Department of Transportation data breach resulted in the names, addresses, driver’s license numbers, Oregon identification card numbers, and the last four numbers of their Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 3,500,000 individuals.

What Happened As A Result Of The Oregon Department of Transportation Data Breach?

According to a notice posted on the company’s website, the Oregon Department of Transportation reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent third party cyber security attack. On June 1, 2023, ODOT learned of a vulnerability in the MOVEit file transfer third-party software tool developed by Progress Software. On June 12, 2023, ODOT confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access their data, which included the personal information of approximately 3.5 million Oregon residents.
