June 20 – The Hatcher Agency data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The Hatcher Agency data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, contact information, dates of birth, health insurance information and medical information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 9,500 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, The Hatcher Agency reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. An unauthorized party was able to access portions of the company’s IT network on February 14, 2023 that contained confidential information. On June 16, 2023, The Hatcher Agency sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
