June 29 – The Vitality Group International, Inc. (“Vitality Group”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The Vitality Group data breach resulted in the names, dates of birth and health information of certain individuals being compromised. At this time, it is unclear how many individuals were affected by the breach.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, Vitality Group reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company recently identified that the MOVEit software developed by Progress Software, used by the company to transmit certain files contained a zero-day vulnerability. Upon learning of the vulnerability, Vitality Group launched an investigation and learned that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to and remove certain files containing confidential consumer information. On June 22, 2023, Vitality Group International, Inc. sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
