According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the Xybion data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. In September 2022, the company detected unauthorized access within its computer network. Xybion contained the incident and launched an investigation confirming that an unauthorized party was able to access its computer system. It was also determined that the bad actor was able to access certain files containing confidential consumer information. On November 30, 2023, Xybion sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
