What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of New Hampshire, the Academy Mortgage data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 21, 2023, the company detected and stopped a data security incident that involved an unauthorized party accessing and disabling portions of the company’s computer network. Academy Mortgage launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access files containing confidential information belonging to consumers and employees. On December 21, 2023, Academy Mortgage sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
