According to the Attorney General of Montana, the Affinity Health Services data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 24, 2023, the company learned that it had experienced a network security incident prompting them to secure its digital environment and launched an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access portions of their network, including files containing confidential information related to current and former patients and employees. The data breach letter indicates that Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center may have also been affected by the breach. On March 18, 2024, Affinity Health Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
