August 30 – The Alogent Holdings data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Alogent Holdings data breach resulted in the names, account and routing numbers, addresses, phone numbers, check payees and remittance amounts of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 454,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Alogent Holdings reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Alogent previously used the MOVEit file-transfer program, created by Progress Software. Recently, Alogent learned that an unauthorized party was able to exploit a vulnerability within the MOVEit program between May 30, 2023 and June 1, 2023. The company launched an investigation, confirming that certain confidential information was accessible to an unauthorized party as a result of the MOVEit vulnerability. Since then, Alogent has stopped using MOVEit. On August 14, 2023, Alogent Holdings sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
