The American Renal Associates data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the American Renal Associates data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Information on the breach is still limited but a ransomware gang had previously taken credit for the attack and claimed the attack took place on March 2, 2024 where they were able to obtain roughly 5 TB of data. American Renal Associates will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
