September 7 – The Amerita, a subsidiary of PharMerica data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Amerita data breach resulted in the names, addresses and health information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website and the Attorney General of Texas, Amerita reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 14, 2023, Amerita and its parent company PharMerica, detected suspicious activity within its IT network. In response, Amerita launched an investigation and confirmed that an unknown third party accessed Amerita’s computer system between March 12, 2023 and March 13, 2023. It was also determined that personal information may have been obtained as a part of the incident. On September 6, 2023, Amerita sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
