July 31 – The Andrews McMeel Universal data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Andrews McMeel Universal data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, health insurance information, and medical information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of New Hampshire, Andrews McMeel Universal reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 19, 2023, AMU experienced a network disruption. The company secured its computer system and then launched an investigation. The AMU investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access portions of the company’s network, including files containing confidential information pertaining to current and past employees and 1099 contractors. On January 25, 2023, Andrews McMeel Universal sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
