It is believed to have impacted as many as 54,682 individuals. The Association of California School Administrators data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • Social Security numbers,
  • employer-assigned identification numbers,
  • and online account credentials

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Association of California School Administrators data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 24, 2023, the company detected unusual activity within its computer network prompting an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had gained access to the organization’s computer network between September 23, 2023 and September 24, 2024. On May 22, 2024, Association of California School Administrators sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
