August 9 – The Bank OZK data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent third party cyber security attack. The Bank OZK data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, transaction activity, dates of birth and Trust and Wealth account numbers of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, Bank OZK reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent third party cyber security attack. Bank OZK relies on various business partners or vendors to perform certain services and was recently informed by one of the company’s business partners about a data security incident involving the popular MOVEit file transfer software. An unauthorized party was able to access certain files containing confidential customer information that was stored on the vendor’s MOVEit server. On August 7, 2023, Bank OZK sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
