July 14 – The bioMérieux data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at The Vitality Group, LLC. The bioMérieux data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, and protected health information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 10,244 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, bioMérieux reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at The Vitality Group, LLC. On June 1, 2023, Vitality Group, bioMérieux’s vendor, informed them that it learned of a critical vulnerability within MOVEit, a file sharing program used by Vitality. On July 6, 2023, bioMérieux sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
