The Canopy Children’s Solutions data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Vermont, the Canopy Children’s Solutions data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 4, 2023, the company discovered that certain files on its computer system had been encrypted prompting them to secure their network and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized actor had gained access to Canopy’s systems on April 4, 2023, and may have accessed or acquired files containing confidential information belonging to certain individuals. On February 2, 2024, Canopy Children’s Solutions sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
