July 27 – The Care N’ Care Insurance Company, Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Care N’ Care Insurance Company data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account information, medical information and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 33,032 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Texas, Care N’ Care Insurance Company reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Care N’ Care recently learned of a cybersecurity incident impacting the confidential information of thousands of patients. It is unclear whether the breach occurred within Care N’ Care’s computer systems or whether it involved a third-party vendor. However, the company learned that certain files were accessible to an unauthorized party and launched an investigation as a result. The company’s investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access sensitive patient information that had been provided to Care N’ Care by patients. Data breach letters will be sent out to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
