June 10 – The CIBT, Inc. (“CIBT Visas”) data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The CIBT, Inc. data breach resulted in the names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 10,318 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, CIBT, Inc. reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company detected suspicious activity within their computer network on November 19, 2022. On June 8, 2023, CIBT sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
