September 1 – The Cognizant / TMG data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Cognizant / TMG data breach resulted in the names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security Numbers, claim numbers, bank account numbers and medical service information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Texas, Cognizant / TMG reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Between June 22, 2023 and July 18, 2023, Cognizant / TMG detected a potential network security incident that had occurred between May 30, 2023 and June 3, 2023. In response, Cognizant / TMG conducted an investigation, which confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access personal information related to certain consumers. On September 1, 2023, Cognizant / TMG sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
