January 11 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the ConsensioHealth data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 60,871 individuals. The ConsensioHealth data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • names,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • addresses,
  • dates of birth,
  • driver’s license numbers,
  • and medical information

What Happened?

According to a notice posted on their website, the ConsensioHealth data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On July 3, 2023, the company detected a cybersecurity incident affecting its computer network when portions of the ConsensioHealth network were encrypted. ConsensioHealth secured its network and launched an investigation that confirmed that the unauthorized party removed a number of files and folders containing confidential patient information from its network. The affected healthcare providers listed in the ConsensioHealth data breach letter include:

  • Emergency Medicine Specialists, S.C.
  • Ascension Wisconsin
  • Wisconsin Urgent Care
  • Kenosha Urgicare

On January 4, 2024, ConsensioHealth sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
