July 24 – The Corebridge Financial, Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Corebridge Financial data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers and policy numbers of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website, Corebridge Financial reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On June 16, 2023, Corebridge was notified by one of its third-party vendors that MOVEit file transfer software they used contained a critical vulnerability that allowed hackers to access data stored within Corebridge’s MOVEit server. After learning about the MOVEit vulnerability, Corebridge began an investigation and determined that, as a result of the MOVEit vulnerability, the confidential information of certain consumers was accessible to an unauthorized party. On June 26, 2023, Corebridge Financial sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
