July 29 – The CRC Insurance Services, LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The CRC Insurance Services, LLC data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, CRC reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On or around January 18, 2023, CRC learned that several employees had been targeted in an email phishing attack. The company secured the targeted email accounts and launched an investigation. The CRC investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access the affected employee email accounts and download some of the emails. CRC subsequently determined that a portion of the accessed and downloaded emails contained confidential consumer information. On July 26, 2023, CRC Insurance Services, LLC sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
