April 13 – On April 8, 2023, the Money Message ransomware group included PharMerica Corporation among its victims, prompting claims of a data breach at the company. Several Social Security numbers listed on the Money Message website were verified as legitimate by databreaches.net. This suggests that the hacking reports may be accurate, though PharMerica hasn’t posted anything on its website nor made any public statements as an acknowledgment of the data breach. PharMerica may be looking into the nature and extent of the breach to see what information was compromised and whose it was, considering the recent publicity surrounding the firm.
After an investigation into the breach is completed, the company will be required to send data breach notification letters to all individuals who were involved in the leak and whose data has been exposed.
