October 24 – The American Family Insurance data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the American Family Insurance was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. At this time it is unclear what data was affected by the American Family Insurance data breach.
According to the BleepingComputer article, American Family Insurance reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. American Family Insurance recently detected unusual activity within a portion of its network. The company quickly secured its affected systems, shutting down several of them. They launched an investigation to determine what caused the breach. Due to the extensive outages, American Family was unable to accept payments online and is instead informing customers that they can make a payment when the systems are back up 
without incurring a penalty. American Family Insurance will send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach once it concludes its investigations and determines if consumer information was compromised.
