November 10 – The Cinfed Federal Credit Union (”Cinfed CU”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Cinfed Credit Union data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers and financial account information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 57,959 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Cinfed Credit Union reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Cinfed CU was made aware of the incident when it learned that an unauthorized party was able to access the company’s computer network. The company took steps to contain the incident and launched an investigation that confirmed its corporate network was accessed by an unauthorized party between September 22, 2023 and September 25, 2023, and that, 
during that time, the unauthorized party accessed documents on its network. On November 9, 2023, Cinfed Credit Union sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Cinfed Federal Credit Union is a financial institution based out of Cincinnati, Ohio that provides traditional services found at most banks and credit unions, including individual and business checking and savings accounts, personal loans, credit cards, mortgages, and investment products.
