October 16 – The Cognisight data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Cognisight data breach resulted in the protected health information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website and the Attorney General of California, Cognisight reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Cognisight provides healthcare management services to various health plans and other entities, including San Diego PACE so these organizations provided the company with member information. On May 31, 2023, Cognisight learned that the MOVEit file-transfer application used by the company contained a vulnerability. Cognisight stopped using MOVEit and launched an investigation which confirmed that 
an unauthorized party accessed and removed certain files from Cognisight’s MOVEit server. On October 13, 2023, Cognisight sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
