October 17 – The Crum & Forster data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Crum & Forster data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened As A Result Of The Crum & Forster Data Breach?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, Crum & Forster reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company recently learned that an unauthorized party had gained access to its computer system prompting them to launch an investigation into the incident. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access portions of its Data Breach Alertnetwork containing confidential consumer data starting on December 19, 2021 and lasting up through March 20, 2022. It was also determined that the unauthorized party removed some of this data. On October 9, 2023, Crum & Forster sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
