January 10 – The Fidelity National Financial (“FNF”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 1.3 million individuals.
According to their reporting with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Fidelity National Financial reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 19, 2023, the company detected a cybersecurity incident that impacted some of its computer systems prompting them to secured their systems and launch an investigation. Fidelity National Financial completed its initial investigation on December 13, 2023 confirming that an unauthorized third party accessed some FNF systems, deployed malware, and removed certain data. It was also determined that the unauthorized access last occurred on November 20, 2023. Fidelity National Financial began sending out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
