December 1 – The Forward Bank data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 46,019 individuals. The Forward Bank data breach resulted in consumers’ sensitive information being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Forward Bank reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 10, 2023, Forward Bank detected a network disruption and notified the FDIC and the FBI. The company launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access portions of its network on September 6, 2023, and that the unauthorized party may have acquired confidential customer data while in its network. On November 17, 2023, Forward Bank sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Forward Bank is a financial institution headquartered in Thorp, Wisconsin that provides standard banking services to individual and business clients, including checking and savings accounts, 
personal loans, mortgages, credit cards, investment products and insurance products. Forward Bank operates approximately 15 branches in Athens, Colby, Dorchester, Greenwood, Marshfield, Medford, Park Falls, Phillips, Rib Lake, Stanley, Thorp, Three Lakes and Withee.
