November 29 – The Granger Medical Clinic data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Granger Medical Clinic data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses and phone numbers of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a news article, Granger Medical Clinic reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent ransomware attack. The NoEscape ransomware group added Granger Medical Clinic to its leak site on November 24, 2023. The group claimed that it obtained 35 gigabytes of Granger Medical Clinic data and posted several screenshots of internal files relating to current and former staff members. NoEscape also claimed that it stole “more than 2 thousand passports and tens of thousands of SSN cards.” The ransomware group sought a ransom of $700,000 from Granger Medical Clinic and demanded payment within 24 hours. It seems the ransom was not paid because, on November 25, 2023, NoEscape claimed to have leaked the data. If Granger Medical Clinic confirms the breach then they will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
